St Gabriel, Patron Saint of Messengers and Communications Workers - Gabriel the Archangel
Silver pewter medal of the Angel Gabriel, with the words "Protect Us" on the back. Saint Gabriel is the patron saint of messengers and communications workers.
The name Gabriel means 'God's Hero' or “God has shown Himself mighty” and he is God's special messenger angel. On several occasions in the Bible he is given the job of coming to earth to give important announcements and tell of special events. Gabriel is best known as the Angel who announced to Mary that she would bear a Son who would be conceived of the Holy Spirit, Son of the Most High, and Saviour of the world.
The angel Gabriel is not called an Archangel in the Bible (only Michael is named as such), although in many traditions he is one of the seven archangels.
Size: 2.5cm tall including top loop. Made in Italy in nickle and lead free pewter.
This medal comes with a silver steel split-ring through the top loop so it is ready for use.
If you are looking for good quality stainless steel neck chains to wear this medal as a pendant, you will find some here that are a good color match & don't tarnish.
