St Rita Healing Chaplet Rosary
This wee chaplet of Saint Rita is made especially for use with prayers for healing. Chaplets are small rosary beads that are often used for a special purpose.
May 22 is the feast day of St Rita, an Augustinian nun from 14th-century Cascia, Italy. She is the patroness of impossible causes and hopeless circumstances because of her difficult and disappointing life which led to her becoming a nun in later life.
I've used lavender Swarovski pearls for the 7 prayer beads, and two lovely floral lampwork glass beads for the introductory prayers at the start of the chaplet. The pearls are 8mm round and are linked by hand with silver rosary wire so the beads drape nicely in your fingers.
The two larger beads are finished with silver-plated end caps and little Swarovski® crystals for just a touch of sparkle. The chaplet begins with a silver pewter cross with vine & flower design on both sides, and ends with a medal of Saint Rita.
Length: 28cm / 11 inches;
Cross & medal: 2.5cm / 1 inch tall.
Handmade by me, Deborah, this chaplet comes nicely packaged along with a card that has the prayers for healing, and you can of course substitute your own prayers.
