St Raymond Nonnatus Chaplet, Niner Rosary
This niner chaplet is dedicated to Saint Raymond Nonnatus, a Spanish saint who lived in the 13th century. Many miracles were attributed to Raymond both before and after his death. He was canonized in 1657
The niner chaplet is popular for today's busy lifestyles. It is lightweight and easy to carry with you, and uses simple, well known prayers. A pamphlet of the prayers for this wee chaplet is included.
The chaplet is made with iridescent blue Swarovski pearls and crystals, all linked by hand so the chaplet flows nicely through your fingers when using it to pray. The 3 groups of 3 prayer beads are 8mm round pearls, with tiny Swarovski crystals separating them.
At one end is a medal of St Raymond, and at the other is a slim pewter crucifix.
St Raymond is the patron saint of expectant mothers and midwives because of the nature of his own birth. Although his mother died in labor, Raymond miraculously survived the ordeal of Cesarean delivery. He is also the patron of childbirth, children, falsely accused people, fever, infants, newborn babies and obstetricians. His feast day is August 31.
