St Patrick Chaplet
The prayer chaplet for Saint Patrick has 12 beads, along with a medal of the saint and often a cross or crucifix as well. This little rosary comes with a prayer card including the prayer known as St Patrick's Breastplate (the Lorica of Saint Patrick).
I've used 8mm round dark green serpentine beads separated with sparkling olive Austrian crystals in the chaplet, reminiscent of the colors or Ireland - and the legend that St Patrick caused snakes to flee Ireland. The beads are all individually linked with gold rosary wire so the chaplet flows nicely through your hands.
The center connector is gold pewter, and incorporates a wee shamrock. Another legend says that St Patrick used the 3 leaves of the shamrock to explain the 3-fold nature of the Holy Trinity.
The chaplet design is completed with a small medal of St Patrick along with a double-sided gold pewter Celtic cross.
Length: 23cm / 9.25 inches:
Cross: 3cm / 1.25 inches tall.
This chaplet is well made for years of prayer, and comes attractively packaged with the prayer card.
