St Mary Magdalene Prayer Chaplet
A chaplet is a set of prayer beads that is smaller than the full rosary, and is also known as a pocket rosary because it is easy to slip into a pocket to carry with you. This chaplet features Mary Magdalene in a layout based on the design of the Anglican Christian rosary.
The chaplet starts with a lovely Talavera filigree silver-plate cross, followed by the invitation bead which "invites" you to pray. This is a sparkling crystal bead with red Swarovski crystals either side, the colour associated with Mary Magdalene.
A red crystal cruciform bead is next, leading into the 7 prayer beads known as the "week" beads, which are also red crystal. A medal of Mary Magdalene completes the set.
A pamphlet about the chaplet with suggested prayers to use with it is included.

Mary Magdalene is considered by the Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, and Lutheran churches to be a saint, with a feast day of July 22. Her patronages include women, converts, penitent sinners, and those following a contemplative life - as well as chemists, glove-makers, tanners, hairdressers, perfumeries, reformed prostitutes and against sexual temptation.
Uniquely among the followers of Christ, she is mentioned by name as being present at the cross after the male disciples (excepting John the Beloved) had fled, and at his burial. She was the first person to see Jesus after his Resurrection, according to both John 20 and Mark 16:9.
A Christian pocket rosary is a great gift for any special occasion - or just to show you care. This lovely chaplet comes attractively packaged along with the pamphlet.
