St Francis of Assisi Pocket Rosary - Niner Style Chaplet Rosary
The "niner" rosary is a great little rosary for people on the move or who have busy lives. The smaller size with just 9 beads means it slips easily into pocket or purse, and it uses just 3 easily remembered prayers.
This niner has a medal of St Francis of Assisi, one of the most loved of saints in all Christian churches. He is the patron saint of animals and pets, conservationists, people who care for the environment, animal welfare societies and zoos.
I've used larger size beads for this chaplet - great for those who prefer a bigger-sized bead. The 3 groups of 3 beads are 10mm natural white howlite stone beads, linked with silver rosary wire. The groups are separated with double-links and study silver-plated chain, so this chaplet is suitable for rugged hands.
Length: 34cm /13.4 inches
Medal:2.5cm / 1 inch
Crucifix: 5cm / 2 inches
At one end is the medal of Saint Francis with birds - it is said they came at his call and would sit on his shoulder and in his hands. At the other end is a "grapes & vine" style crucifix.
Crosses that have a vine design symbolize the Christian’s union with Christ: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15: 4-5).
A nice chaplet with larger beads, suitable for regular personal use and for gifting.
