St Clare Prayer Chaplet Bracelet - A Rosary for the Wrist
This handmade chaplet bracelet is designed to be a wrist rosary - a small chaplet of Saint Clare of Assisi that combines faith and fashion. The beads are laid out in the traditional pattern for this devotion. The bracelet features a medal of Saint Clare, set amongst blue goldstone and blue angelite beads with silver accents, and can be used as a prayer bracelet.
Saint Clare of Assisi (sometimes spelled Clair or Claire), is an Italian saint, one of the first to follow Saint Francis of Assisi after she heard him preaching. Clare founded the Order of Poor Ladies a monastic religious order for women in the Franciscan tradition, and wrote their Rule of Life - the first monastic rule known to have been written by a woman.
I've used 10mm round midnight blue goldstone beads for the 9 prayer beads. This stone is a fusion of copper and quartz and has a subtle sparkle in the light. The groups of 3 beads are separated with patterns of 8mm blue angelite gemstone beads, tiny glass seed beads & silver accents. The medal hangs between angelite beads at the front of the bracelet.
The pictured bracelet is a large size, for a wrist measuring around 18cm. Larger and smaller bracelet sizes may have a different arrangement of the wee spacer beads to allow for the different sizing, but the overall look will be just as nice.
Measure your wrist and order that size if you want it to sit firmly on your wrist, or the next size up for a looser fit. You can choose the size you want from the drop-down menu at checkout.
The bracelet comes attractively wrapped along with a card about Saint Clare and the prayers for this chaplet.
