St Cecilia Chaplet Rosary, Patron Saint of Musicians
Saint Cecilia is the Patron Saint of musicians and church music - legend says she heard the music of the Angels in her heart when forced to marry against her wishes. The chaplet (small rosary) is laid out in the traditional pattern for this devotion, with three groups of three beads and a medal of Cecilia.
For this wee rosary I've chosen lovely Czech glass nugget beads with a beautiful interplay of rosy-gold, lavender & copper colors.
At one end is a silver pewter medal of St Cecilia along with little gold-plated angel and heart charms, symbolizing love and protection. At the other end of the strand is a stainless steel disc engraved with the message" When words fail, music speaks", and an gold filigree crucifix.
I've hand-linked each bead with gold and silver rosary wire, and added wee Swarovski crystals between the groups of three beads. The traditional color for St Cecilia's chaplet is golden topaz as her feast day is in November, and these lovely beads reflect that color beautifully.
Length: 32cm / 12.6 inches
