St Bernadette Niner Rosary, Blue Swarovski Pearls
This small Saint Bernadette pocket rosary is known as a "niner", one of the oldest forms of chaplets. In the past, many convents & monasteries created niner chaplets which they sold as a means for generating income. Niner chaplets were created for virtually any saint.
Here you see a niner chaplet featuring a medal of St Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes. The 3 groups of 3 beads (from which the rosary gets its name) are 8mm round iridescent dark blue Swarovski crystal pearls, hand-linked with silver rosary wire so the chaplet flows nicely through your fingers.
At one end is a simple Infinity cross with blue enamel inset that has subtle sparkle as a reminder of the healing waters of Lourdes. At the other end is the medal, along with a cluster of 3 wee Swarovski crystals which represent the light of the Holy Trinity of God the Father, Son & Holy Ghost.
Length: 25cm / 10 inches;
Cross: 4cm / 1.6 inches tall;
Medal: 2.5cm / 1 inch tall.
St Bernadette is the patron saint of bodily ills, sickness, Lourdes in France, people ridiculed for their piety, poverty, shepherdesses & shepherds and is one of the healing saints.
This pretty niner chaplet comes attractively packaged along with a card of the traditional prayers.
