St Benedict of Hippo, Oval Medal
Saint Benedict medal in silver oxidised pewter with St Benedict on the front and his ward (prayer of protection) on the back.
St Benedict is the Patron Saint of monks, those in religious orders, agricultural workers, schoolchildren, civil engineers, cavers, the dying and his ward (prayer) is often called on for protection against poisons, witchcraft, fevers and temptations.
Founder of the Benedictine Order, his ward of exorcism and protection is used widely by clergy and the devout - it is shown on the reverse side of this medal.
Size: 2.5cm tall including the top loop. Comes with a silver-tone steel split-ring through the loop on top so it is ready for use.
Want to wear this medal as a pendant? I have good quality stainless steel neck chains here that will not tarnish and are a good colour match for the medal.
