St Benedict Chaplet Rosary
This little chaplet of Saint Benedict is made in the traditional layout of beads for this devotion, with 3 groups of 3 beads. A chaplet is a small rosary, often dedicated to a particular saint of purpose, and this wee chaplet comes with a card of the traditional prayer used with it.
I've made this chaplet with 10mm faceted lavender jade beads, each separately linked with silver rosary wire to form the loop of prayer beads. The connecting ring is beaten silver pewter, and it holds a silver & gold St Benedict medal as well as a St Benedict crucifix.
The silver medal is set in a gold-plated frame, and shows the saint himself on one side with his ward (prayer of protection) on the other. St Benedict's medal is widely used by the clergy and devout, and is a prayer of petition that we may with Christian courage "walk in God's ways, with the Gospel as our guide" as St Benedict urged.
The gold-plated pewter crucifix has St Benedict's ward behind the figure of Christ on the cross, with a tiny image of St Benedict on the back.
Length: 15cm / 6 inches
Crucifix: 3.5cm / 1.4 inches tall
Medal: 1.5cm / 0.6 inch across
A lovely compact wee chaplet to carry with you, which would make a thoughtful gift. It comes attractively packaged along with the prayer card.
