St Anthony & the Child Jesus Medal, Brass
Oval brass medal of Saint Anthony with the child Jesus on the front, and praying hands on the reverse.
The Baby Jesus shown with St Anthony is reminiscent of the vision that Anthony had in Camposampiero. It also expresses his attachment to the humanity of Christ and his closeness to God. His Vision of the Baby Jesus is an event which, more than any other, characterizes the contemplative spirituality of St Anthony.
St Anthony is known as a patron of the poor, the starving, the patron saint of seekers of lost persons or articles, travelers, and shipwrecks, as well as being the Patron Saint of Portugal.
The medal is brass which has been lightly oxidised to give it an antique look.
2.5cm tall including the top loop.
Comes with a brass split ring through the loop on top so it is ready to use.
