St Alphonsus de Ligouri Chaplet Rosary, Patron Saint
This little rosary, called a 'chaplet', is dedicated to Saint Alphonsus de Ligouri. Well-made for years of prayerful use, this wee rosary features a Holy Spirit center and a Trinity crucifix along with a medal of St Alphonsus.
The 7 prayer beads in the chaplet are Czech glass nuggets beads, cut in a way that resembles mossy rock from a quiet forest stream. Each bead is a beautiful little work of art - Czech glass beads are among the best in the world. All the beads are separately linked with silver rosary wire and joined with short lengths of chain.
The loop meets at a center connector of the Holy Spirit, with the words "Come Holy Spirit, Enlighten Me" in raised letters on the back. The Trinity crucifix shows Christ crucified in the arms of the Father, with the Holy Spirit below. The medal of St Alphonsus completes the chaplet.
Length: 18cm / 7 inches;
Medal: 2.5cm / 1 inch;
Crucifix: 3.5cm / 1.4 inches;
Beads: 8mm Czech glass beads.
Alphonsus de Ligouri was a moralist who wrote sermons, books, & articles to encourage devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and the Blessed Virgin Mary. He is the patron saint of those with arthritis, theologians and moralists.
He who trusts himself is lost. He who trusts in God can do all things. - Saint Alphonsus de Liguori
This chaplet is made for plenty of personal prayer use, and would make a thoughtful gift for anyone with an affinity for this great saint. It comes attractively packaged along with a card of the traditional prayers.
