St Alice Medal - also known as St Aleydis or Adelaide
Saint Alice medal, patron saint of the blind and paralyzed.
Silver pewter medal of St Alice of Schaerbeek, who is also known by the names Aleydis or Adelaide. On the back are the words Pray For Us.
Alice entered a Cistercian convent when just 7. She contracted leprosy, which left her paralyzed & blind & her greatest consolation came from receiving communion. She bore her affliction with humility & courage, becoming an inspiration to all who knew her. Today, St Alice remains an inspiration to all who endure physical afflictions.
Alice was a visionary, given to ecstasies & received a visit from Christ to assure her of the complete Communion of the Eucharist. She was given the gift of healing others, but not herself.
