St Agatha Medal, Patron Saint of Breast Cancer Sufferers


Catholic medal of Saint Agatha, perhaps best-known as the patron saint of those suffering from breast cancer and their families.

Saint Agatha of Sicily is one of the most highly venerated virgin martyrs of Christian antiquity. She was martyred around the year 251, put to death for her steadfast profession of faith. She is one of only seven women, excluding the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass.

St Agatha has many patronages, among them nurses, bakers and jewellers as well as against earthquakes, against breast cancer and against natural disasters.

Size: 2.5cm tall including top loop. The medal comes with a silver steel split-ring through the loop on top so it is ready for use.
