Our Lady of Perpetual Help & St Christopher Pendant Medal
Antiqued silver pendant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Saint Christopher on a stainless steel chain.
The round medal has excellent detail with Our Lady of Perpetual Help on one side and St Christopher the other. Measuring 25cm across, the medal is reasonably large but lightweight and comfortable to wear.
I've hung the medal on a stainless steel chain with lobster clasp, 50cm end-to-end. It also has a 5cm extension chain. Stainless steel will not oxidise or change color, so it is a great choice for humid climates or damp conditions.
St Christopher is the patron saint of motorists, safe travel and travelers - as well as the patron saint of those with toothache.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary by Pope Pius IX, associated with a celebrated Byzantine icon of the same name dating from the 15th century. The icon has been in Rome since 1499, and is currently in the church of Sant'Alfonso di Liguori all'Esquilino.
The necklace comes nicely packaged.
