First Holy Communion Decima Rosary
This white glass pocket rosary will make a wonderful keepsake for a Catholic making their First Holy Communion. A decima is another term for a small rosary, which is also known as a pocket rosary, as it has just one decade of ten Hail Mary beads.
I've used pure white Czech glass beads throughout with ten 8mm beads representing the Hail Mary prayers, and a larger clear crystal bead for the Our Father prayer. Each bead is individually linked by hand with silver rosary wire and silver-plated curb chain - a well made wee rosary that will last for many years of prayer.
The loop of beads meets at a small medal with the Holy Spirit on one side and the Fiat of Mary on the other - this symbol represents the Virgin Mary's acceptance of God's will for her. A small modern crucifix hangs next to the medal.
The front of the rosary has a single larger clear faceted crystal Our Father bead, and ends with a First Communion medal of the Chalice and Host, with loaves of bread and grapes at the base.
Length: 22cm (8.7")

A great gift to remember a special day, and it would make an ideal gift from a family member or Godparent.
