Servite Rosary, 6 Decade Black Crystal & Bronze Rosary
I've made this 6 decade Servite rosary with a bronze crucifix and center connector showing the Sacred Heart & Immaculate Hearts pierced with 7 swords, representing the 7 Sorrows. Made with Czech faceted glass beads in black, this rosary is as lovely to look at as it is to pray with. This style of rosary is also called the Brigittine or Carmelite rosary.
The Servite rosary looks similar to a regular Rosary, but with an extra decade. The 7 Pater beads honor the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the 63 Ave Maria beads commemorate the 63 years it is believed the Blessed Mother lived on this earth before her Assumption.
This is a smaller-sized rosary made with 6mm "cathedral" cut crystal beads for the decades. I've used Czech glass beads for the Paters, 8mm nugget shapes with a bronze-copper finish.
The beads are all separately linked with bronze rosary wire, and the Pater beads are wire-wrapped so the rosary has that unique handmade look. The beads are smallish so the rosary is quite lightweight and flows smoothly through your hands.
The rosary loop connects with a bronze center medal of the 7 Sorrows, re-cast from an antique original. The design is completed with a small bronze crucifix and Miraculous Medal of Our Lady.
Length from center-back to end of crucifix: 52cm / 20.5 inches
Center medal: 1.5cm
Crucifix: 2.5cm / 1 inch.
This rosary comes in a handmade (by me) lined rosary pouch to keep it in, and will be attractively packaged.
