Chaplet Rosary Bracelet, Mary Untier of Knots
A chaplet bracelet is a wearable chaplet for the wrist, meaning you can combine fashion and faith beautifully. While the bracelet is on-trend for today's fashion look, it also offers the chance to use it for prayer in those quiet moments in a busy day.
The bracelet is made in the style of a "niner" rosary - it has 3 groups of 3 Hail Mary beads. I've used natural blue sodalite gemstone beads for these prayer beads, one of the few naturally occurring blue gemstones. The group of 3 are separated with a pattern of little brass and glass spacer beads.
At the front of the bracelet is a gold pewter bead stamped with the word "faith". On one side hangs a milagro-style Sacred Heart charm, and on the other is a wee medal of Mary, Untier of Knots (sometimes called Mary, Undoer of Knots).
This devotion became known in the 18th century, originally for help in a difficult marriage. In the early 17th century, a noble couple were on the brink of divorce, and their priest prayed before Our Lady of Victory, holding up a ribbon (symbolic of the ribbon placed over the hands of a bridal couple) praying that all the knots in the marriage might be untangled. The marriage was saved.
Today it goes beyond marital problems, and can be used during any other kind of crisis. Pope Francis has a special devotion to Our Lady Untier of Knots.
The pictured bracelet is the right size for a wrist that measures 17cm (6.5 inches). Larger sizes will have extra spacer beads to make sure it is the right size for you. Choose the size you want from the drop-down menu before check out.
Sodalite beads: 12mm natural gemstone rondelles.
Medal: 1.5cm tall (0.6 inch)
Available in sizes from 17cm to 21.5cm (6.5 to 8.5 inches).
A lovely faith bracelet for yourself, which would make a thoughtful gift for another. It comes attractively packaged along with a card of the prayers that can be used with the chaplet.
