Anglican Rosary, Star Beads & Celtic Cross
Anglican prayer beads are also known as the Christian rosary, Protestant rosary or Episcopal rosary, and are used in many Christian Churches to enrich prayer life. The design has 33 beads, based on the number of years Christ lived on earth. A pamphlet about the rosary with suggestions for using it is included.
I've used beautiful Czech glass beads in this rosary, each bead is a wee work of art in heavenly colours ranging from soft blue through lavender and purple. The cruciform and invitation beads are pewter stars with little lavender crystal beads in the center
The antiqued silver pewter Celtic cross looks great against these beads. The full meaning of the never-ending Celtic knot design is now lost in the mists of time, but one meaning is to show us how our spiritual and physical lives are intertwined.
The 4 groups of prayer beads are 8mm faceted glass, and the star beads between them are 15mm across with 4mm crystal beads inside. All the beads are hand-linked with silver rosary wire and the larger beads and wire-wrapped to give the rosary that unique handmade look.
Length from center back to end of cross: 40cm / 15.75 inches;
Cross: 3cm / 1.2 inches tall.
This rosary is well-made for years of prayer, and comes attractively packaged in a handmade (by me) rosary pouch, along with the pamphlet.
