St Barbara Anglican Chaplet, Christian Virgin Martyr
The mid-3rd century Christian saint Barbara features in this Anglican chaplet based on the layout of the Anglican rosary. St Barbara is honoured as a saint in the Anglican, Catholic & Orthodox churches.
The chaplet (little rosary) has a loop with a "week" of 7 prayer beads, and 2 larger beads in the front chain, the invitation & cruciform beads. A medal showing Saint Barbara completes the set.
I've used colors related to the glass-paned windows of the tower where Barbara was held captive, through which she could see the sky. The week beads are 9mm Czech crystal in a pretty sapphire blue color, separated with sparkling Swarovski crystals. The larger beads in the front are blown glass orbs, toughened for regular handling.
Length: 30cm / 11.75 inches;
Beads: 9mm Czech glass rondelles, 12mm blown glass orbs.
A pamphlet for this chaplet is included, with prayers based on Isaiah 40:30-32, and Psalm 91:2-8.
