St Anthony of Padua, Niner Rosary in Jasper
This is a handmade jasper & gold niner chaplet of Saint Anthony of Padua. He is the patron saint of the poor, and the patron saint of seekers of lost articles, travelers, and shipwrecks. Always pictured holding the Christ Child, St Anthony is one of the most loved saints of all time.
I've used reasonably large 10mm round jasper beads for this little rosary, each linked with gold rosary wire to form 3 groups of 3 beads. These "sets" of prayer beads are separated with topaz Swarovski crystals. A full color medal of Saint Anthony is at one end, and a gold-plated pewter crucifix at the other.
The ‘niner’ rosary or chaplet takes its name from the fact that it only has nine beads, and these have easily remembered prayers attached: the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Glory be to the Father. The repetition of these familiar prayers is a simple and effective way of placing God at the center of thoughts as you pray.
Length: 36cm / 11.25 inches;
Medal: 3cm / 1.2 inches.
Crucifix: 4cm / 1.5 inches tall.
This is a lovely chaplet for anyone with an affinity for St Anthony, or a devotion to the Divine Child. It comes attractively packaged along with a prayer card.
