Saint Dymphna Collection
Saint Dymphna of Ireland, sometimes known as the Lily of Fire, was beheaded by her father for her refusal to submit to his improper advances and her steadfast faith in Jesus. She was just 15 years old when she died on May 15 between the years 620 and 640. Dymphna is also called Saint Dymphna of Gheel after the village of Gheel in Belgium, the place of her martyrdom, and where many miracles of healing have occurred. She is the patron saint of those with mental disorders.
