Handmade Catholic rosary featuring Saint Patrick in the center medal, made with nephrite jade (greenstone) beads here in New Zealand. The gold crucifix and accents are eye-catching against the variegated shades of forest green in the jade beads.
The 5 decades of Hail Mary beads are 8mm round jade, showing the variations in colour that is typical for this beautiful stone, which is hard and durable. The Our Father beads are a bit larger at 10mm round & are finished with gold-plated caps & wire-wrapping.
The center medal has a full-color image of Saint Patrick on one side, and the Holy Face of Jesus on the other side. St Patrick is one of the best known and most loved Catholic saints. He is the Patron Saint of Ireland,of engineers and paralegals, and is invoked against snakes, sins and witchcraft.
The gold-plated pewter crucifix is a traditional "lily" style, with each arm ending in a 3-pointed lily design, representing the 3-fold nature of the Holy Trinity.
