This Eucharist rosary is made with smaller-sized greenstone (nephrite jade) and silver pewter beads. The smaller 6mm round beads make a lightweight and compact rosary for adults, and are a manageable size for young fingers learning their rosary.
A Eucharist rosary is perfect for a First Communion gift, containing as it does the appearances of bread and wine in the Our Father (Pater) beads.
The Hail Mary beads are 6mm round nephrite jade, each separately linked with silver rosary wire so they flow smoothly through the finger when praying the rosary. The Our Father beads are double-sided pewter, with the Communion Chalice and Host on one side, and the initial JHS on the other. These beads are wrire-wrapped for extra strength and to give the rosary that unique handmade look.
The center is the much-loved image of the Blessed Virgin Mary known as the Miraculous Medal. The crucifix is a traditional style with 3-pointed lily-shaped ends on the arms. These 3 points represent the three-fold nature of God in the Trinity. Another symbolic meaning is that taken together, the points equal the 12 Apostles who went out from the Cross to carry the Good News to the world.
