This substantial handmade rosary has 10mm round white howlite stone beads for the decades of Hail Marys - a larger size than most of my rosaries. The Our Father beads are ornately decorated pewter, each 14mm round. This is an impressive rosary for prayer, for a presentation, or for decor display.
At the center of the rosary is a large Saint Benedict medal that connects the loop of beads. All the beads are hand-linked with stainless steel rosary wire, so they flow smoothly through the hands as well as being sturdy.
The large-size crucifix is 7cm (2.75") tall and has black enamel inset in the background. The style is known as a "budded cross" because of the 3 round "buds" at the end of each arm which represent the 3-fold nature of the Holy Trinity. Added together, the 12 buds stand for the 12 Apostles who went out from the cross to carry the Good News to the world.
