I am often asked what the difference is between a crucifix and a cross. The simple answer to this question is that a crucifix is a cross with the body of Jesus on it, in remembrance of the crucifixion. A cross has no body (corpus) on it, in remembrance of the resurrection. There are many styles of crucifixes and of crosses, and both are used by all major Christian religions. In this section of my shop you will find crucifixes and crosses which are often used as a pendant in jewellery, or attached to a rosary or chaplet, or for use in religious mixed media art.
