Our Lady of Sorrows, Handmade Stretch Catholic Bracelet

Made with amethyst gemstone beads, lavender jade and antiqued silver, this Catholic bracelet is a beautiful yet reverent way of wearing & sharing your faith

The bracelet features a lovely wee medal of Our Lady of Sorrows set between Czech glass periwinkle flower beads and a central silver pewter daisy. Both these flowers are often seen in Catholic art featuring Mary.

The Periwinkle or "Virgin Flower", is an emblem of the Blessed Virgin. Blue is also associated very closely with Mary as one of her colors, traditionally her main garment being colored blue. Toward the end of the fifteenth century the daisy came to be used in paintings of the 'Adoration' as a symbol of innocence of the Christ Child because of the sweet simplicity of the daisy.

I've used 8mm round amethyst and lavender jade gemstone beads, separated with little fancy pewter spacer beads - an on-trend color combination that also is the Christian color for royalty. The bracelet is stretchy for easy on-off wearing.

The pictured bracelet is the right size for a wrist measuring 17cm. Larger and smaller sizes may have a slightly different arrangement of beads to achieve the right size for you. Measure your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet and order that size for a snug fit, or the next size up for a loose fit.

Here is a general guide to sizing:
Women - Small: 16cm (6."), Medium: 17cm (6.5"), Large: 18cm (7"), Larger: 19cm (7.5"), X-Large: 20cm (8").

Order the size you want from the drop down menu before going through checkout.

This is a lovely bracelet for anyone with a special place in their heart for Our Lady of Sorrows, which would also make a thoughtful gift for a Catholic woman or teen. It comes attractively wrapped.
